New Book

This fascinating new book takes a nostalgic look at Skegness and reveals some of the changes and developments that have taken place in the town during the last century. Ken Wilkinson has gathered together ninety pairs of images to compare and contrast changing modes of fashion and transportation, shops and businesses, houses and public buildings, while recalling some of the local people who once lived and worked in this popular seaside resort. Drawn from family albums, local collections and professional photographers, this collection, Skegness Past & Present is sure to bring back cherished memories of yesteryear or all who know and love this part of Lincolnshire.

The late WINSTON KIME worked for Skegness Urban District
Council before his retirement. In 2001 he was made an Honoured
Citizen of Skegness by the Town Council. A keen local historian,
he was the author of seventeen books, including Skegness In Old Photographs and The Lincolnshire Seaside.
